The alexandrite is from the Andrapradesh deposit in Southern India. Alexandrites from this area were well known known for their beautiful daylight colors but production has ceased and new stones have not been forth coming for years. The daylight color of the center stone is exceptional and this ring will always look great in any kind of light. Under incandescent light the stone displays a moderate to strong change to lavender purple. This stone is nearly round and is remarkably clean, bright, and very well cut. Complimentary GIA certification is available.
